    Dr. Milad completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and matriculated to Wayne State University School of Medicine. He finished his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan and went on to do a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

    Dr. Milad joined the Northwestern University faculty in 1993 and quickly established a niche in operative laparoscopy being appointed the Director of Gynecologic Endoscopy in 1995. In 1997, he returned to school while working full-time to obtain a Masters in Academic Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In October 2000, he assumed the position of Division Chief for Graduate Medical Education.

    Over the past 12 years, Dr. Milad has authored 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 90 national presentations. He serves as a reviewer to multiple prestigious journals and has several grants to study endoscopic techniques, equipment and diseases amenable to surgical intervention. He has mentored over 100 residents and fellows in advanced endoscopic techniques and has been course director of over 30 training programs.
