Will my fibroids shrink as I near menopause?
This is a question frequently asked by women. The correct answer is, maybe.
The actual statistics are that 40-50{089f036bcf71a4101b04d04475126de09cd53d2a276176fb3b030106ba816fa1} of women experience significant shrinkage of fibroids as a result of reduced hormone levels. Unfortunately, fibroids do not always disappear. It’s best to create a plan of cautious monitoring with your gynecologist. Considering your history, a more active approach may be required.
Some symptoms to look out for are:
– Spotting
– Discharge of an unusual color or unusual frequency
– Extended abdomen
– Increased or painful urination
Fibroids display uniquely in each person. You know your body better than anyone. If you have a concern, please reach out to a trusted physician, or a reputable source for a physician referral.
Be Well,
